UNIT HSW1: Fundamentals of Safety at Work

This unit is assessed through a one-hour multiple-choice exam.

UNIT HSW2: Risk Assessment

  • Unit assessed through a one-hour risk assessment activity carried out in your workplace.

Holders of the Nebosh Award in Health, Safety and Environment for the Process Industries qualification (HSEP1 unit) are entitled to a two-year exemption from Unit HSW1 of the Nebosh Award in Occupational Health and Safety.

Unit HSW1 of the Nebosh Award in Occupational Health and Safety course is assessed through a one-hour multiple-choice examination. Unit HSW2 consists of a one-hour risk assessment activity carried out in your workplace.

Examinations are held every year in January, April, July and October.
