NEBOSH-HSE Course in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence

NEBOSH and the UK's health and safety regulator, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), have jointly developed the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence. Health and safety is a key measure of performance in successful and forward-thinking organisations. Effective leaders understand that health and safety is not only of moral importance, but also contributes to the achievement of the entire organisation's objectives, encompassing finance, operations, regulatory compliance and governance.

Suitable for...

  • Anyone interested in a solid theory of leadership, an understanding of different leadership styles and how to acquire basic leadership skills. Both in Health and Safety and in any other aspect of influence within human groups and organisations to join forces towards a common goal.

Modalities

  • Train your employees in Process Safety Leadership in Spain or America. Classes are tailored to the needs of your company.
  • Our teaching staff, who are highly experienced in Health and Safety and accredited by NEBOSH, will come to your company's offices to deliver the training over one or two days, depending on the course. In total, the course lasts 8 hours.
  • The training is delivered in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and the exam is taken at the end of each course in the classroom.
  • Consult the Open Course Programme or the corresponding NEBOSH Leadership Excellence course brochure each year to find out the dates of the courses.
  • Live virtual classes, the best of a face-to-face course from your home!
  • 8 hours spread over two days of four hours each, taught by NEBOSH-accredited tutors with extensive training and experience in occupational health and safety in all types of industries.

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Health and Safety Leadership Excellence is assessed through reflective statements made throughout the course. Students will be assessed against the five HSE leadership values.
These values are:

  • Creating and promoting a shared vision of health and safety.
  • Being considerate and responsive.
  • Provide support and recognition.
  • Promote fairness and trust in relationships with others.
  • Encourage improvement, innovation and learning.

Reflective statements are designed to make learners aware of how their knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours can have both positive and negative effects on their organisation's health and safety performance. Learners will also be required to commit to a single leadership intervention to improve health and safety management within their organisation or area of influence in the workplace.

Learners, employers and internal assessors should be aware that the assessment is for educational purposes only. Although it is not a formal assessment of leadership competence, it is a measure of learners' ability to demonstrate what they have learned and how they intend to apply it in their workplace.
